Because Facebook is increasingly turning into the most important social network that ever existed in the world. Very hard to compete with what it seems to be the first social network that will actually help to connect the entire world.
The numbers are impressive:
- +2 billion monthly active users
- +1 billion mobile daily active users
- The Like and Share Buttons are viewed across almost 10 million websites daily (including this one)
- Europe has +300 million users (Nearly half of the population)
- Highest traffic occurs mid-week between 1 to 3 pm (after lunch time, makes sense)
- Average time spent on Facebook is 20 minutes
- Thursdays and Fridays have higher engagement (18% higher)
Quick Ways To Get More Likes On Your Facebook Page
Today I’ll share a number of ways for you to build and increase your followers on your Facebook Page. Please feel free to suggest new ones and to give me feedback if you ever apply any of the following tips and ideas. I will guarantee that you will be featured on any new updates or posts regarding Facebook/Facebook Pages.
1- Provide information about your business
One of the key points is to provide all the information that you can about the business. That way people will be informed about all the details that are relevant.
- Working Hours
- Contacts (Enable the messenger and/or Email and/or Phone Number)
- Add your Instagram Account (if you have one associated with your blog/website)
- Personal Interests
- Story (Write a text describing in a more detailed way your business, your motivation, or what your goals are)
2- Cover and Profile image
The visual part of an online business is very important. Images are something that people can retain far more faster than words in a long text. So in my opinion you should:
- Make sure that your profile and cover image is easily recognizable
- Use the same profile picture / image on all your social media profiles (So people can associate more quickly to your brand)
- If you use words on the cover or profile image, make it simple, and colorful
- Cover image dimensions: 851 x 315 pixels
- Profile image dimensions: 960 x 960 pixels (to avoid compression)
3- Engage and interact with your audience
Facebook is a social network that provides ways for people to connect. To bring them together. So don’t forget to answer questions from your followers. Engage with them, make some questions, share useful content that can get likes and shares.
With your posts, don’t forget to use images and hashtags. Provide some diversity using videos, polls, quizzes, and so on.
Don’t forget before starting to invite people to like and follow your page, make sure you have material already there. Posts, images or videos.
4- Be careful with the number of posts per day
According to social media experts, the best number of posts on a single day is between 2 and 4. Today Facebook provides an extensive board with metrics about your posts and how are they performing within your audience. Study those numbers careful. Make the most of them. See what captures the attention of your audience, and what doesn’t.
For those posts that doesn’t do well, don’t give up, change the title and the image, and try again. If you believe that the content is valuable, try to make it more appealing.
Be consistent. Choose a number of posts and stick with it.
5- Invite people to like your page
We both know that starting something from zero can be daunting. Therefore, make your work easier by inviting your existent friends to like your Facebook page. This way you can grow your numbers immediately, and even have some help to start having some action like comments, likes, and so on.
Additionally you have a lot of support groups where you can invite like-minded people to like and follow your page. If your page is about blogging, it’s a good idea to have fellow bloggers to like and follow. This way the engagement will be superior, and the feedback more frequent. Bloggers love to read other bloggers content.
6- Add ways for people to like your page
If you have a blog or a website, you have to make it really easy for people to like (and follow). On this website for example, you have a permanent like box on the sidebar. Additionally I sometimes place the same like box on the bottom of some posts.
Tell people what will they have in return for hitting “like”. It may be something like updates on a post (that they love) or to be the first to know of any new content of the blog. A Facebook page is a way to connect. To make things easier for everyone.[efb_likebox fanpage_url=”growtoretire” box_width=”300″ box_height=”” locale=”en_US” responsive=”0″ show_faces=”0″ show_stream=”0″ hide_cover=”0″ small_header=”0″ hide_cta=”0″ animate_effect=”fadeIn” ]
Don’t forget to insert social share buttons, so people can share your work (posts, pages, etc.) in all social networks relevant. One excellent way of doing this is using Social Warfare, a WordPress plugin that adds beautiful, lightning-fast social share buttons to your website or blog.
7- Adjust your content to the audience
People these days like diversity on the type of posts. They love funny ones, quotes, How-to tutorials, Lists like “Top 7 ways to grow your Facebook Page”, and so on. Be seasonable. If we’re in Christmas, adjust your posts and content to the season.
And you reader, what strategies do you use? In what ways do you think Facebook can help your business? Why?
